M.Sc. Student · DANSA Lab
Sara Imani is currently a Master’s student in Computer Science at the University of Calgary, supervised by Prof. Reda Alhajj. She is working in the Advanced Database Systems and Applications (ADSA) Lab, where her research focuses on investigating digital twin technologies in cardiovascular health, with emphasis on AI and data analytics for future healthcare applications.
She is also serving as a Graduate Assistant-Teaching (GAT) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary, supporting courses in Data Analysis and Database Management Systems. Before starting her graduate studies, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in Iran.
At UCalgary, I have served on committees including the Data-Driven Software Science Hiring Committee, Space Task Force, and Curriculum Evolution Committee. I am also committed to outreach and mentorship, having guided high-school students through Technovation Girls Calgary. As a Teaching Assistant, I have supported multiple courses (CPSC 471, 331, 433, DATA 221, 601, 604, 605), and I find great joy in teaching and learning alongside students.
Her research interests lie in artificial intelligence and health informatics, particularly at the intersection of data-driven methods and healthcare applications.
